Explanation:

"A Retrieved Reformation" is a short story written  by the famous American author O. Henry .In this story the author talks about the reformation of the main character jimmy who is a criminal(i.e. a professional safecracker) into a honest man but at the end of the story jimmy's reformation is threatened when his criminal past is reveled in a an attempt to save a little girl who is locked in the vault.

Thus we can say that
