<u>LaFeber</u> though that the cause of the Cold War was because<em> the Russians were worried about the growing amount of Western forces entering Russia and Eastern Europe</em>, while <u>Gaddis</u> though that the Cold War was a <em>result of Russia having more of an opportunity to spread their communist beliefs and the US was getting worried</em>. Basically, LaFeber thought that the Cold War was the Russians being defensive, and Gaddis though that the Cold War was the US being defensive.
