Answer:

Translation tools aim to improve comprehension of different languages.

Explanation:

Due to the advance of globalization, the need for the development of translation tools has become essential, especially when we refer to market skills and we need to increase the production of some product. It is very useful to have a translation tool that allows us to interact with international markets to be able to sell our product, and learn about other languages.

There are what are called computer-assisted translation tools, which serve as an aid for translators, since they are faster and more efficient.

They work by saving the text that is entered into them, interpreting and translating it through a translation memory that they have stored in their databases.

This allows a better understanding of the language since a translator may not remember all the words in a language, and having a tool that facilitates the translation of these words is really very useful.

What can you infer from the following phrases in the opening paragraph, "…there seemed an intangible pall…" and "…a subtle gloom
vesna_86 [32]

Answer:

We can infer something bad will happen.

Explanation:

From the phrases in the opening paragraph, "…there seemed an intangible pall…" and "…a subtle gloom that made the day dark…" we can safely infer the story will take a tragic turn. A pall is a cloth placed over a coffin. Therefore, from the very beginning, the writer subtly alludes to death. Darkness is also commonly related to death, to fear, to hopelessness, while light or brightness is connected to the precise opposite.

As it turns out, those sentences function as foreshadowing. The main character in the short story "To Build a Fire" does indeed die. He underestimates nature's fierceness. Unable to protect himself from the harsh cold weather in the Yukon territory, he dies acknowledging his mistake.

Describe social expectations during the Victorian period and how they are reflected in the literature you have read throughout t
Gre4nikov [31]

The Victorian Era was known as the period where Queen Victoria ruled England. It lasted 68 years, as Queen Victoria assumed the role in 1837 until 1901. It is the longest reign that a British monarch has had.

This period was known for having a hierarchy based social order. As Queen Victoria wanted to regain some of the lost respect the public had towards the Kingdom, society started to benefit those with "noble titles", which were granted by the Queen to a selected number of individuals. This produced a pronounced form of classism an among British society, as middle-class citizens often lost their jobs to people with a certain relation to those who had honorific titles. It was an era of high expectations, as people often were prejudices towards others due to their background.
