Which sentence from "Tough Break" best reveals Fabio's feelings through indirect characterization? "You have a broken leg," the

doctor said, looking at the boy who was known for fast dives on his trampoline. So, Fabio sat alone in the band room and wailed out the Rocket’s fight song in a minor key on his lonely saxophone. Over the next three weeks, Fabio noticed the other band members getting a little giddy; they seemed so jazzed for the parade. Everyone cheered and applauded as Fabio climbed aboard and laid his instrument

Answer:

It's B.)

Explanation:

It's because you can tell his character is sad and lonely. Also, it's indirect characterization, which means the sentence shouldn't directly say that he's sad, or happy, etc.

Which claims are best supported by reasons and relevant evidence? Select two options. Children’s rooms are their own, and parent
ikadub [295]

The two claims that are best supported by reasons and relevant evidence are:

1) Exercising regularly will improve many aspects of one's life. Not only will you sleep better at night, but you will also learn better during the day and feel better in general. Many studies have shown the many benefits of regular exercise, and my doctor agrees with them.

This claim is supported by scientific evidence shown by studies and a professional opinion (although poorly presented).

2) Parents should teach their children financial responsibility early in life. Not only do children have expenses such as meals, snacks, and transportation, but they also need to learn how to realistically budget for their needs according to their income. This is an economic lesson that will prove invaluable when they grow up.

This claim is supported by real factual evidence (the expenses that most children have daily and the undeniable effect that learning this lesson will have in their future) .

Visualization and categorization work well for visual learners. Is this a technique you think benefits you as a learner? Why or
vodomira [7]

Answer:

This technique benefits me as a learner as it helps me to visualise my method and approach to solving a problem before I go about solving it. This is pertinent especially in problem based subjects like mathematics. In learning, this is also helpful in helping me to internalise the information gathered, for example, being able to mentally link the information together on a concept map in your head or on paper also helps in retaining information. This concept of visualisation and categorisation is similar to the thinking process of computational thinking which involves breaking down the problem and solving it abstractly.

I do not agree that this only works for visual learners. While visual learners tend to be more inclined to this method of processing in their minds or on paper, I feel that everyone uses this method to a certain extent although through a different methodology or thought process.
