On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, I attended the North American Veterinarian Conference. I set up our GoodPet booth and talked with vets who were interested in promoting our products. More than 300 people came by the booth to pick up brochures and free samples and to ask questions. I spoke with some vets who were already using our products and asked them to fill out our satisfaction survey.
Competition Update
• FeedEm’s stock is up 30 percent in the South American pet food arena.
• Sedona Pet Food’s stock is up 24 percent after advertising that its food doesn’t contain wheat, corn, soy, or wheat gluten.

avanturin [10]

Answer:

The interest rate is 0.06%

Explanation:

Step one :

Given data

final amount $1,000

initial principal balance $850

annual interest rate=?

time (in years)=5 years

Step two:

Applying the

Simple interest/Formula

A = P (1 + rt)

A = final amount

P = initial principal balance

r = annual interest rate

t = time (in years)

Plugin our data into the formula We have

1000=850(1+r*5)

1,000=850(1+5r)

Opening bracket we have

1,000=850+4,250r

Colleting like terms we have

1000-850=4250r

250=4,250r

Dividing both sides by 4,250 we have

r=250/4250

r=0.058

Hence the interest rate is 0.06%

PolarNik [594]

Answer:

Variable Cost per unit = $9 per unit

so correct option is C. Variable expense per unit is $9

Explanation:

given data

sales = 25,000 units

Company reported sale = $750,000

net operating income = $25,000

total contribution margin = $500000

top find out

Based on information the company reported

solution

we know that here contribution at the break even point is  500000

so that the fixed cost will be 500000 because break even point

fixed cost = contribution and net income is 0

by this data we find the variable expense that is

variable expenses = Company reported Sales  - Fixed Cost - Net Operating Income    ..........................1

variable expenses =  $750,000 - $500000 - $25000

variable expenses = $225000

and Variable Cost per unit = \frac{225000}{25000}

Variable Cost per unit = $9 per unit

so correct option is C. Variable expense per unit is $9

The company had a net income of $248,462, and depreciation expenses were equal to $72,487. What is the firm's cash flow from fin
Mademuasel [1]

Complete Question:

The complete question can be seen the in the attachment at the end of the solution of the question.

Answer:

Option B. -$182,057

Explanation:

The Cash flow from financing activities can be calculated by using the following formula:

Cash flow from financing activities = Changes in the equity finance

+ Changes in long term borrowings + Changes in short term borrowings

- Interest paid - Dividends paid

Here

Changes in the equity = $175,000 common stock in year 2008

- $125,000 common stock in year 2008 = $50,000

Changes in long term Borrowings = $61,290 - $78,445 = - $17,155

Changes in short term Borrowings = $16,753 - $12,004 = $4749

Interest paid is $0 because interest rate is not given hence we can't calculate it.

Dividends paid = $190,568 Opening Retained Earnings + $248,462 Net Profit for the year - $219,379 Closing Retained Earnings  = $219,651

Now, by putting values in the above equations, we have:

Cash flow from financing activities = $50,000 - $17,155 + $4749 - 0 - $219,651 = -$182,057
