In The Scarlet Ibis, there are many instances of foreshadowing through motifs that we see at the end all represents Doodle's death. One example is the Ibis itself, which had represented Doodle since the beginning. It was injured, just like him, and died, which he would eventually do. On a deeper level, the passage discusses the seasons. Originally, Doodle was born in the Spring. However, he begins to learn how to walk in the Summer a few years later. Doodle begins to get worse in Autumn because he has less training, and eventually, he dies in the Winter.
He was aware of social injustice, opposed totalitarianism, and belief in democratic socialism.
According to John McNair during an Interview with Ian Angus UCL 1964, Orwell is quoted as saying I've come to fight against Fascism" when he went to Spain to aide in the Spanish civil war against the fascists. This would tend to indicate that he was anti-NAZI.

In
both of the excerpts presented above from the play we can see the
theme of morality being compared to the law in Antigone. It gives the
conflict of Moral or Divine law versus Human law. Pride is also
another theme that can be found in Antigone when we see men creating
laws that substitute for divine principles, believing they are made
from divine will.
I
hope it helps, Regards.
