Technology is being embraced by many production sectors. Since the 18th and 19th century Industrial Revolution, machines helped to increase mass production and avoided particularities that were present handcrafts, distributing the same product for all consumers.

Today, Artificial Intelligence is applied to fabric production, allowing serial products made on-demand. And it’s also entering in sewing ateliers, where being a designer isn’t just a matter of how drawing and using a sewing machine.

Researches of this new generation that relies on technology to improve products is being called Generation 4G Industry. That’s noticed in any goods industry sector. Since the machine operations, until the consumer's reaction to the product, software is shaping the new way to produce, finalize, and deliver them to the market.

Even the most traditional trademarks are seduced by selling your products on-line. So, when something is created, new aspects are added while its construction.

Although all this euphoria with technology, some sectors of the creative industry is resisting on fostering the new generation industry. In a similar movement to the end of the 19th-century Arts and Crafts, some producers are reviving the relation between creation and their creativity. They’re remembering the artisans' techniques and delivering unique personal goods.

Like any novelty, this new technological production is something being experienced and we still don’t know where that will led us to. Technology is advancing quicker as ever before and the hiper-connected world we’re inserted at gives us new possibilities and new demands. The future is still an uncertain place, but technology is coming to improve many aspects of how we design, create and deliver our products.
