Since Emma beat his score on the test, Dean decided he was having trouble in his AP Psychology class. Despite his efforts and re

cent success, he went back down to #2 status on his last exam. The stress of this was enough to make him worried about his condition. Could it be the test was biased? He’d learn that in the next unit. Was it that his personality fragmented, like in Dissociative Identity Disorder? No, it can’t be, disorders are in the unit after testing. He’d have to seek therapy, but that’s three units from now. After consulting with his psychology teacher, Dean came to the conclusion that he might have a personality conflict. So he built a time machine to go back and seek out three famous psychologists and their theories on personality to better understand his issues. Dean decided to look at the following theories: Psychoanalytic Humanistic Social-Cognitive/Social-Learning Explain these theories in terms of their approaches to personality. Include at least one prominent individual, the basic components of each theory, and one disadvantage to each theory.

PSYCHOANALYTIC:

Focuses on the unconscious motives of the person in terms of Id, Ego, and Superego.

Therapy may involve hyponesis, free association, and dream analysis.

HUMANISTIC:

Focuses on the value, dignity, and worth of each person.

Therapy may involve non-directive therapy, active listening, unconditional positive regard, such as calling your patient a "client" to show equality.

COGNITIVE: (does not include social)

Focuses on the way people think.

Therapy may involve rational-emotive therapy, which helps change unrealistic assumptions of onself,

I couldn't find social, but if it's similar, I have a section on:

BEHAVIOR:

Focuses more on a person's actual behavior rather than their thoughts.

Therapy may involve counter-conditioning, which is pairing a stimulus (positive thing) with good behavior, to encourage that behavior more often.

"Explain why fish, specifically steelhead trout, would be an effective indicator species"
marysya [2.9K]

Answer:

reflect the conditions and changes of an environment where they live.

Explanation:

Effective indicator species need distinct environmental factors to sustain and survive in the environment. They reflect the conditions and changes of an environment where they live.

Fishes, specifically steelhead trouts, are an effective indicator species because steelhead trouts require distinct environmental conditions to survive such as temperature of the water, availability of food, specific waterbed, etc. If there is an absence of steelhead trouts in a particular body of water, scientists can easily determine that the water has environmental problems.
