Although all of the options prevented African Americans from voting on elections, the one who kept African Americas from nominating candidates for office was the option C.White primaries.

The White Primaries were southern laws of the Democratic party that blocked African Americans to voting on the primaries, prohibiting it. From 1896, along with the other disenfranchisement strategies (poll taxes, literacy tests and the Grandfather clauses), the White Primaries impeded the possibilities of the negro people from choosing a representative that would favor their causes; As in southern U.S the hardships for the African Americans were greater, a big amount of Black people would migrate to north and west, as we get to know as Great Migration.

The White Primaries was completely abolished only by the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

How did journalists use yellow journalism to encourage the United States to go to war with Spain? Check all that apply.
katrin [286]

Answer:

Option A.By writing sensational headlines is the right answer

Explanation:

The impact of Public opinion created due to Yellow journalism was as large that it compelled America to stand against Spain.

One important factor which paved way for America to wage war against Spain was the practice of Yellow Journalism. Editors of journals and newspapers were so biased that they started to print catchy and sensational Headlines in order to gain the attention of the public.

The headlines were capitalized and the public who have the habit of skimming the newspapers were swayed away by such capitalized fonts thinking that the news which was published was true and started to raise their voice against Spain. The public clamored to go on war against Spain.

1. In your opinion, what does the quote “the government that governs the least, governs the best” from paragraph 12 mean? Based
Anastasy [175]

Answer:

The phrase "who governs less governs better" implies that any government that stays out of establishing unnecessary, bureaucratic or restrictive regulations or standards regarding the exercise of political and economic freedoms of citizens and companies of the country will obtain a better result in your government than those governments that do otherwise. This, indeed, is true, given that the governments that interfere the least in the private economy are those that have the best economic results at the end of their mandates.

Regarding Hoover's phrase, it is fallacious. Capitalism does not produce greed, but allows anyone who strives and directs his efforts towards personal growth to do so, without having a socialist state that restricts that growth through the collection of excessive taxes or the confiscation of profits.
