Osculum: A large opening in a sponge through water flows out of the sponge. the sponge may have more than one Osculum.

Ostia: A series of tiny pores all over the body of a sponge that let water into the sponge. One of these is called Ostium.

Large opening in a sponge through which water flows out of the sponge. There can be more than one osculum in them while ostia are a series of tiny pores which are present all over the body of a sponge.

Further explanation

Sponge

They are multicellular, heterotrophic organisms which belongs to phylum porifera. There are three types of sponges which are syconoid, asconoid, and leuconoid.

Osculum

It is an excretory structure in the living sponge, a huge opening to the outside through which flow of water exits in the wake of going through the spongocoel. Waste material diffuses into the water and the water is siphoned through the osculum. Sponge siphon pumps huge volumes of water; all in all, a volume of water equivalent to the wipe's body size is siphoned at regular intervals. The size of the osculum is controlled by contractile myocytes. Its size is one of the elements which decides the measure of water moving through the sponge. It tends to be shut totally in light of overabundance residue in the water.

Ostia

They are present in the form of pores on the body of sponge and a single pore is called osteum.

Suppose that Gene B occurs in a sea turtle gene pool where the frequency of the B1 allele is 0.5 and the frequency of the B2 all
disa [49]

Answer:

Frequency of the B3 allele = 0.1

Explanation:

The allele frequencies in a given population remain constant which means that every generation will have the same gene pool across the generations. As per Hardy Weinberg’s first equilibrium equation, the sum of frequency of all the alleles at a given locus is equal to one

Thus, if "p" represents the frequency of B1 allele and "q" represents the frequency of B2 allele and "r" represents the allele for B3 allele. Then, sum or "p", "q" and "r" is equal to one.

p+q+r = 1\\

Substituting the given values, we get -

0.5 + 0.4 + r = 1\\0.9 + r = 1\\r = 1-0.9\\r = 0.1

The broadest way to classify the nervous system is to differentiate between the ______ nervous systems.
ankoles [38]

Answer:

Central and Peripheral

Explanation:

The nervous system is divided into two parts: the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. The central nervous system includes the brain and spinal cord.

On the other hand the peripheral nervous system includes all of the nerves that branch out from the brain and spinal cord and extend to other parts of the body including muscles and organs. Each part of the system plays a vital role in how information is communicated throughout the body.

The below diagram provides a schematic view of the role of each sub-division  of the Nervous System.

Explanation:

Phosphodiesterase is an enzyme that breaks a phosphodiester bond, for example in molecules such as cAMP and cGMP. So, phosphodiestarases are  are regulators of signal transduction: regulate the duration of signaling pathway.

Caffeine is  central-nervous-system stimulant and the mechanisms of its action usually are: mobilization of intracellular calcium or inhibition of specific phosphodiesterases.
