Answer:

1. Rationing

2. Conscription

3. Censorship

Explanation:

During World War I, many countries made rationing a common act, by stating a fixed allowance of provisions such as food, for soldiers and civilians during a time of shortage, so that the government could held control of the scattered available resources.

Governments also reinstated conscription which is the compulsory enrollment of persons for the military or naval service of their country. This was a way in which the governments would posses the necessary amount of soldiers to fight the war.

Censoring was a common act during the war, in which the government would control the media and the communication channels in order to supress any information or personal opinions that would shift the public support to be at war.

Which of the following best describes the main way that Upton Sinclair gathered research for The Jungle?
Rudiy27

Option C, that He went undercover as a worker in a meat-packing plant is the right answer.

Upton Sinclair's (Muckraking Journalist) Socialist Policy urged him to write a Novel called “The Jungle” in 1906, which presented the harsh conditions and abused lives of the immigrants, particularly in the Meatpacking industry of the United States. However, To achieve his goal of presenting this hard condition of the workers he went undercover. Therefore, He used the account of His own investigation to describe the social and economic injustice in the Novel. The Promotion of Socialism in the United States was his main motif while writing the Novel.

The most significant impact of the book can be seen in terms of the “ Pure Food and Drug Act” passed by the government a few months later.

A Principle of stratification that helps us realize that we should not always blame the victim is
Lady bird [3.3K]

The correct answer is that stratification involves beliefs. We call social stratification a system through which a society hierarchically ranks categories of people. Differences in status, power, and wealth within a certain society are what led to social stratification. Social stratification is based on four major principles:

 • It is a trait of society, not simply a reflection of individual differences.
 • It persists over generations.
 • It's universal (it happens everywhere) but variable (in different ways across different societies).
 • It involves not just inequality but beliefs as well (inequality is rooted in a society's philosophy).
