Often, she appears to be “checked out.” Teachers and friends have to call her name repeatedly to get her attention. Although Suji has always gotten good grades, she just got a D on her math test. At lunch, she spends more time pushing food around on her plate than eating it. 1-Based on this information, do you believe that Suji needs professional help to cope with the death of her mother? Yes, Suji needs to seek professional help because she is in the beginning symptoms of depression, and if she doesn't get any help, she won't be able to develop healthy coping skills with the lost of her mother. I think she needs profession help because she pushes her food around instead of eating it, and she appears to be checked out in classes. I don't think my answer would change a year later.
