Answer:

percentage change in weight ≈ 10%

Step-by-step explanation:

The dog weighed 48 kg after a diet and after an exercise program the dog had a weight of 43 kg. This means the dog loss weight since the dog weight decreased from an initial value of 48 kg to 43 kg. The decrease in weight can be calculate as

decrease in weight = original weight - new weight

original weight  = 48 kg

new weight = 43 kg

decrease in weight = 48 - 43 = 5 kg

Since the weight decrease their will be a percentage decrease in weight.

% decrease = decrease in weight/original weight × 100

% decrease = 5/48 × 100

% decrease = 500/48

% decrease = 10. 42666666667

percentage change in weight ≈ 10%

Jody, a statistics major, grows tomatoes in her spare time. She measures the diameters of each tomato. Assume the Normal model
lina2011 [118]

Answer:

Zscore = 0.5

Step-by-step explanation:

If we assume a normal distribution, we mean that the diameters of each tomato follow a normal distribution. This is N~ (0,1).

By that, we mean that the mean (μ) = 0 and variance (\sigma^{2}) = 1. Thus, since we are told that one tomato was in the 50th percentile. This implies the median. And is 0.5. And if the distribution is normal, the mean and median and mode should be equal.

Thus:

==> Z score = \frac{x-\mu}{\sigma} = \frac{0.5 - \mu}{\sigma} = \frac{0.5-0}{1} = 0.5

As an example, 15,000 Men 18-34 watched program X at 7-8 pm on Monday night. 32,000 Men 18-34 had their TV on during the same ti
miv72 [106K]

Answer:

7.5 rating points

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the rating for Men 18-34 for program X is shown below:

Given that

Number of men 18 -34 watched a program X = 15,000 = X

Number of men 18 - 34 watched in a same time = 32,000

And, the total households in the market = 200,000 = Y

So, the rating for men 18-34 for program x is

= \frac{X}{Y}

= \frac{15,000}{200,000}

= 7.5 rating points

We simply applied the above formula

Zack wants to make a profit of more than $300 for painting 4 identical rooms. The profit he makes is equal to the amount he is p
lianna [129]

Answer: A

n-4(32.5) > 300;n > 430tep-by-step explanation:

given that Zack wants to make a profit of more than $300 for painting 4 identical rooms. That is

Profit > $300

Then, the profit he makes is equal to the amount he is paid minus the cost of supplies. The cost of supplies is $32.50 for each room. That is

n - 32.5 and

P + 32.5 × 4

Where 4 = number of rooms

P + 130

The minimum profit = 300 + 130 = $430

Therefore, the inequality and solution that represent the dollar amount, n, that zack must be paid for each room if he is to make a profit of more than 300$ is

n-4(32.5) > 300;n > 430
