Answer:

Rs64.00/kg

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Calculate the amount of good oranges

Total amount of oranges    = 150 kg

Amount of rotten oranges =    18 kg

Amount of good oranges    = 132 kg

2. Calculate the income from  the good oranges

\text{Income} = \text{132 kg} \times \dfrac{\text{Rs80}}{\text{1 kg}} = \text{Rs10 560}

3. Calculate the net unit rate of income

The income from the good oranges was Rs10 560.

Based on 150 kg of oranges, the unit rate of income was

\text{Unit rate of income} = \dfrac{\text{RS10 560}}{\text{150 kg}} = \text{Rs70.40/kg}

4. Calculate the original unit rate of cost

Let x = original unit cost. Then

0.10x = 10 % of original unit cost and

1.10x = 10 % over original unit cost

1.10x = RS70.40/kg

        x = (RS70.40/kg)/1.10 = Rs64.00/kg

The original unit rate of cost was Rs64.00/kg.

Answer:

Rs.64

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Amount of oranges:</u>

  • 150 kg

<u>Oranges sold:</u>

  • 150 - 18 = 132 kg

<u>Money made:</u>

  • 132* 80 = Rs. 10560

<u>Selling price of 150 kg:</u>

  • 10560/150 = Rs. 70.4

<u>Cost price:</u>

  • x+10% = 70.4
  • x*1.1= 70.4
  • x= 70.4/1.1
  • x= Rs.64
  • Cost price of oranges= Rs. 64

Phil has 3 times as many rocks as Peter. Together, they have 48 rocks. How many more rocks does Phil have than Peter?
Ivan
Let x = the number of marbles for Phil
Then 3x = the number of marbles for Peter
Together they have 3x+x=48 or 4x=48 and x=12
So Phil has x = 12 marbles and Peter has 3x, let x = 12, 3(12) = 36 marbles.
Peter has 24 more marbles than Phil.

6d - e + 3d - 2e<br><br>( combine like terms)
Alenkasestr [34]

6d and 3d are like terms, so you take them and add them together because they're both positive. You get 9d-e-2e. -e and -2e are also like terms so you would put these together but subtract them to get 9d-3e.

Which statements about the graph of the function f(x) = 2x^2– x – 6 are true? Select two options.
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Please, share the answer options next time.

1)  f(x) = 2x^2– x – 6 is a quadratic function.

2) The coefficients of this polynomial are a = 2, b = -1 and c = -6

2)  Its graph opens up.

3)  The x-value of the axis of symmetry and the vertex is x = -b / (2a), which here comes out to x = -(-1) / [2(2)], or x = 1/4

4) the y coordinate of the vertex is f(1/4), or -6 1/8

5) The vertex is at (1/4, -6 1/8)

6)  The y-intercept is at f(0):  2(0)^2 - 0 - 6 = -6  =>  (0, -6)
