Answer: b. Stock A must have a higher dividend yield than Stock B.

Explanation:

The missing information has been attached.

Using the Security Market Line requires rising the Capital Asset Pricing Model to calculate expected returns.

The formula is,

Expected return = Risk free rate + beta(market premium)

Stock A

= 6.4% + 1.10 (6.0%)

= 13%

Stock B

= 6.4% + 0.9(6.0%)

= 11.8%

The Expected return of a stock is the result of either of 2 things. It could be the Dividend yield or the Capital Gains Yield.

The Capital Gains Yield is as a result of the growth of the company. The growth rate is listed as 7% for both so it is the same.

The Dividend yield must be the differnt one so Stock As Dividend yield must be higher to yield a huge expected return making Option B. correct.

Capital Productivity:

For US=1.72          LDC=4.31

Part B:(Multi factor productivity)

For US=1.29         LDC=1.03

Part C: (Raw material productivity)

For US=4.90        LDC=10.02

Explanation:

Part A:

Labur Productivity:

For US:

Partial Labor Productivity=\frac{Sale(units)}{Labour(hours} \\Partial Labor Productivity=\frac{100505}{19550} \\Partial Labor Productivity=5.14

For LDC:

Partial Labor Productivity=\frac{Sale(units)}{Labour(hours} \\Partial Labor Productivity=\frac{19600}{14550} \\Partial Labor Productivity=1.35

Capital Productivity:

For US:

Capital Productivity=\frac{Sale(units)}{Capital Equipment} \\Capital Productivity=\frac{100505}{58600}\\Capital Productivity=1.72

For LDC:

Capital Productivity=\frac{Sale(units)}{Capital Equipment} \\Capital Productivity=\frac{19600}{4550}\\Capital Productivity=4.31

Part B:

For US:

Multifactor Productivity=\frac{Sales(units)}{labour(Hours) + Capital Equipment(hours)}\\ Multifactor Productivity=\frac{100505}{19550+58600} \\Multifactor Productivity=1.29

For LDC:

Multifactor Productivity=\frac{Sales(units)}{labour(Hours) + Capital Equipment(hours)}\\ Multifactor Productivity=\frac{19600}{14550+4550} \\Multifactor Productivity=1.03

Part C:

For US:

Raw material productivity=\frac{Sales(Hour)}{Raw Material} \\ Raw material productivity=\frac{100505}{20500} \\ Raw material productivity=4.90

ForLDC:

Converting Raw material FC into $ (1$=10FC)

Raw Material =19550/10=$1955

Raw material productivity=\frac{Sales(Hour)}{Raw Material} \\ Raw material productivity=\frac{19600}{1955} \\ Raw material productivity=10.02

Due to customer no-shows, the Inn at Charlotte hotel is considering implementing overbooking. The Inn at Charlotte has 150 rooms
kirill [66]

Answer:

The unit=9

Explanation:

The Cost of underage Cu= price -cost =200-0 =200 ( as there is no variable cost of the unsold room)

Cost of overage Co= cost - salvage value = 0 -(-325) =325

Service level = Cu / Cu+Co = 200/ 325+200 = 0.3809

which corresponds to the z value of -0.3

the optimum overbooking = mean + z x SD

= 10+ 3 x (-0.3) =9

Digiron [165]

Answer:

Instructions are below.

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

When it produces and sells 4,000 units, its average costs per unit are as follows:

Variable manufacturing overhead $1.40

Fixed manufacturing overhead $ 2.60

Units produced= 3,000

<u>To calculate the unitary indirect manufacturing cost, you can use two different methods</u>. The variable method only uses the variable manufacturing overhead. The absorption method uses the total unitary overhead.

Total fixed overhead= 2.6*4,000= 10,400

<u>Variable costing method</u>:

Unitary indirect manufacturing cost= $1.4

<u>Absorption costing method:</u>

Unitary fixed overhead= 10,400/3,000= $3.47

Unitary indirect manufacturing cost= 1.4 + 3.47= $4.87

Vivian conducted market research on her company’s products. She found that after the company raised the price of its product by
amid [387]

One important factor that Vivian needs to consider is that demand changes as a result of changes in price, however, other factors could affect the demand for goods or services, examples are, changes in the price of related goods, the income of the people, changes in preference etc.

Therefore, based on this fact, Vivian should consider "Price elasticity of demand." Price elasticity of demand can be defined as a measurement used in economics to show the responsiveness or elasticity of the quantity demanded of a good or service to a change in its price when nothing but the price changes.
