Answer:

a. 55 cars

b. 25 cars

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's call the number of cars with stereo systems N(ss), with air conditioners N(ac) and with sun roofs N(sr).

So we have that:

N(ss) = 30

N(ac) = 30

N(sr) = 40

N(ss and ac and sr) = 15

N(at least two) = 30

a.

To find how many cars have at least one option (N(at least one) or N(ss or ac or sr)), we have:

N(ss or ac or sr) = N(ss) + N(ac) + N(sr) - N(ss and ac) - N(ss and sr) - N(ac and sr) + N(ss and ac and sr)

N(ss or ac or sr) = 30 + 30 + 40 - (N(at least two) + 2*N(ss and ac and sr)) + 15

N(ss or ac or sr) = 30 + 30 + 40 - (30 + 2*15) + 15 = 55

b.

The number of cars that have only one option is:

N(only one) = N(at least one) - N(at least two)

N(only one) = 55 - 30 = 25

The product of two numbers is 450. the first number is half the second number. which equation can be used to find x, the greater
kow [346]
X*y = 450
y = 1/2x

x(1/2x) = 450
1/2x^2 = 450
x^2 = 450 * 2
x^2 = 900
x = sqrt 900
x = 30

y = 1/2(30)
y = 15

so ur numbers are : x = 30 and y = 15...but I am not sure of ur answer choices.

NeTakaya
Given that the steps are not shown, I am going to show you all the rigtht steps in detail and so you will be able to compare and tell which step from you list contains an error:

1) Traslation into algebraic language:

“three less than the quotient of a number squared and nine, increased by eight”

3 - (n^2) / 9

2) Evaluate it when n = 6 (replace the value of n)

3 - (3^2) / 9

3) solve the parenthesis

3 - 9/9

4) divide 9/9

3 - 1

5) Subtract

2

Now you know all the steps and can tell which of the steps on the list is wrong.

Katarina bought a package of 500 stickers. Each sheet in the package has 20 stickers.
Mashcka [7]
I think there are 125 heart stickers and 375 star stickers. 20/4 = 5, so there are 5 heart stickers per sheet. there are 25 sheets in the package, 5 x 25 = 125. if the remaining stickers on a sheet are stars then there are 15 star stickers per sheet. 15 x 25 = 375.

Answer:

8.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Bayes factor is the ratio of the likelihood of one particular hypothesis against the likelihood of the another hypothesis. Bayes factor can be interpreted as a measure of strength of evidence in favor of one theory among two competing theories.

Bayes Factor is defined as below:

\frac{likelihood of data given H1}{likelihood of data given H0}

H1 = alternative hypothesis

H0 = null hypothesis

Bayes Factor = 0.85/0.1 = 8.5
