Answer:

-by sheltering Jews in houses decorated with Swedish banners and flags.

-by giving schutz passes to Jews to avoid their deportation.

-by providing clothes and food to imprisoned Jews.

Raoul Wallenberg was a Swedish diplomat and humanitarian, who saved thousands of Hungarian Jews during the Holocaust.

Wallenberg issued "protective passports" (<em>Schutz-Pass</em>) which identified people as Swedish subjects waiting for repatriation, and thus prevented them from being transported to a concentration camp. Wallenberg also rented 32 buildings in Budapest and declared them Swedish territory. This gave them diplomatic immunity. He put up Swedish banners and flags on the outside, and protected almost 10,000 people. Wallenberg disappeared in 1945, taken by the KGB on suspicion of espionage.
