This is missing a few details. I've found the complete question online. It is as follows:

1. _______ is a complete analysis and telling of the life story of a person who is not the author.

A. An autobiography

B. A memoir

C. A biography

2. A memoir is a compilation of ________ about moments or events in the life of the author.

A. fabrications

B. memories

C. facts

3. However, the information provided in both the works is supposed to be ________.

A. fictitious

B. factual

C. complex

Answer:

1. C. A biography is a complete analysis and telling of the life story of a person who is not the author.

2. A memoir is a compilation of B. memories about moments or events in the life of the author.

However, the information provided in both the works is supposed to be B. factual.

Explanation:

A biography tells the real story (the facts) about someone's life in chronological sequence. However, the author of the biography is not the person who the biography is about. For instance, if I write a complete analysis of my mother's life, I will be writing a biography. On the other hand, if she does it, it will be an autobiography.

Unlike biographies, a memoir tells someone's life facts in a more colorful way, approaching the writer's emotions and understanding of events.

Still, both the biography and the memoir have to provide factual information. The author cannot fill in the gaps between the person's life events with something he/she imagines that could have happened. That would be fiction. Biographies and memoirs are supposed to recount facts.

The answer choices are spelling rules about what to do before adding suffixes to a base word that ends in a consonant. Identify
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer: D If a base word has only one syllable and ends in one consonant, double the final consonant.

Explanation:

You must double those final consonants that you have in your word before a suffix which means first, double the final consonant and then add it.

 • For example, it can be, stop-stopped(stop + p + ed), bag-bagged, drop-dropped, fog-foggy, run-running. It is used when some of the words are ending with the consonants.

Suffixes that you add, in this case, should be vowel suffixes which are ED and ING.

Which statement best explains the role of the tragic hero archetype in literature?
laila [671]

The statement that best explains the role of the tragic hero archetype in literature is the second one: the tragic hero’s role is to experience a downfall due to a personal flaw.

Aristotle describes the role of the tragic hero in his Poetics. He states that the tragic hero is the main character of a tragedy, which also experiences a change of fortune from good to bad. For that reason, he is the one whom the audience ends up feeling pity for. According to Aristotle, this reversal of fortune is caused by a flaw in the character of the tragic hero. Hamartia is another term used to refer to the main character's error. Two characters that can be considered tragic heroes are Oedipus and Creon, which are part of Sophocles' plays.
