HELPPPP ASAPPP !!! Which three words have connotations related to ethics and values? Harriet Beecher Stowe by Paul Laurence Dunb

ar She told the story, and the whole world wept At wrongs and cruelties it had not known But for this fearless woman's voice alone. She spoke to consciences that long had slept: Her message, Freedom's clear reveille,1 swept From heedless hovel to complacent throne. Command and prophecy were in the tone And from its sheath the sword of justice leapt. Around two peoples swelled a fiery wave, But both came forth transfigured from the flame. Blest be the hand that dared be strong to save, And blest be she who in our weakness came— Prophet and priestess! At one stroke she gave A race to freedom and herself to fame. a) whole world b) consciences c) command d) justice e) transfigured f) weakness g) freedom

Swimming through the tunnel is Jerry’s way to establish his identity or go through character adjustments. From the New York Times article “Doris Lessing Wins Nobel Prize in Literature”, it can be noted that Doris Lessing is a writer described as “that epicist of the female experience, who with skepticism, fire and visionary power…” by the Swedish academy. Her struggle when she was 15-year-old and a runaway from home must have also reflected the struggle of Jerry proving that he can swim through the tunnel.

GuDViN [60]

Answer:

I think that this quote is trying to describe that the traditions that have been passed down and used time and time again by the 'primitive' will forever be more tangible. Because when he says "the fantasy of modern times" it's almost like he is claiming that they are just ideas and wishes and wants for this more modern society and way of living, whereas, with the "lore of the primitive" these normal methods of survival have been used and proven effective over again. A good comparison to that phrase could be, "if it ain't broke don't fix it", which is essentially what I think that Anton Chekhov was trying to say.
