Answer:

Shylock "raise the stakes" proposing that Antonio repay the loan with his own meat from his body, if he cannot pay with money within the given time.

Explanation:

Shylock is a Jewish moneylender who was once very humiliated by Antonio who was extremely anti-Semitic and anti-Jewish. Shylock had a very bad grudge towards Antonio and when he needed a loan of money to make a certain trip, Shylock did not hesitate to propose the loan of a high amount that should be paid in a short time, besides he "raised the stakes" , stating that the loan would have Antonio's meat as interest if the payment was not made as agreed. Shylock said that if Antonio did not pay correctly, he would have to pay off the debt with a pound of meat from his own body.

Which piece of literature below shows the prose style, scrupulous meanness?
kolezko [41]
James Joyce was known to use scrupulous meanness as his prose style often in his novels and short stories. This means that he doesn't have to use a lot of words to convey his message which is always true and real. Having this in mind, the correct answer is Eveline, because that is a short story written by Joyce and found in his "Dubliners."

In "The Most Dangerous Game," Sanger Rainsford says "I am a hunter, not a murderer" when he finds out that Zaroff hunts humans.
Luden [163]
Rainsford does not hold human life on the same level as animal life. For Rainsford hunting is a sport or a means to gain food, not a mere even to simply kill for the love of killing.

Zaroff's ideas counter this in that Zaroff has progressed to the point where killing humans, the most intelligent beings, has become a sport to him.

The bottom line is that the two men have different world views which influence their actions.
