The answer to this question is A. better themselves

Explanation:

During the Renaissance (century 14th to 17th) the focus was Humanism, along with the ideas, beliefs, techniques, philosophy, etc. of Ancient Civilizations, especially Ancient Rome and Greece. This is because scholars, artists, writers, etc. of this age believed through the value of the individual (Humanist's ideas), as well as, classical perspectives, they could improve or edify themselves. Discuss the three theaters of the War of 1812. What were they and who was involved in each? What were they and who was involved
Blizzard [7]

Answer and Explanation:

  • The War of 1812 was battled in four significant theaters: the Atlantic Coast, the Gulf Coast, the Canada–US fringe and the American West.
  • The quick reasons for the War of 1812 were a progression of financial authorizations taken by the British and French against the US as a component of the Napoleonic Wars and American shock at the British act of impressment, particularly after the Chesapeake occurrence of 1807.
  • The assertion of war between the United States and Great Britain in 1812 put the nearby Spanish experts in a quandary. The British were their partners in Europe. The Indians restricting the United States looked for their help, and the British wished to utilize the Indians' ports as bases of tasks.

melisa1 [442]

The text comes from a speech called "The Tariff Bill" given by Hon. Justin S. Morrill of Vermont in the Senate of the United States in 1872.

In this sentence, the senator is arguing that "revenue reform" is just another way to refer to reforms towards free trade. He believes that free trade hurts American labourers by forcing them to compete with cheap imports from other countries. His view is called protectionism. It encouraged the establishment of tariffs in trade in order to protect national industries.
