Answer:

The cost of internal equity is 11.18%

Explanation:

The constant growth model of DDM can be used to calculate the price of a stock if the growth rate in the dividend is expected to remain constant. The DDM values the stock based on the present value of the expected future dividends from the stock.

The formula for price today under DDM is,

P0 = D0 * (1+g) / r - g

We already know the P0, the D0 and the g. We can plug in these values in the formula to calculate r which is the cost of equity capital.

32 = 1.25 * (1+ 0.07)  /  (r - 0.07)

32 * (r - 0.07) = 1.3375

32r - 2.24 = 1.3375

32r = 1.3375 + 2.24

r = 3.5775 / 32

r = 0.11179 or 11.179%

Inga [223]

Answer:

d. 0; unrelated.

Explanation:

Cross elasticity of demand is the degree of responsiveness of demand for a particular product to a change in the price of another product.

A change in price of a product will lead to a change in demand for another product if the two goods are either goods of close substitutes or if they are complements. If two goods are not related, the change in price of one will not have any impact on the demand for the other good.

In this question, the cross elasticity is zero because biro and pencil are not related.

Please describe how you have prepared for your intended major, including your readiness to succeed in your upper-division course
s2008m [1.1K]
My love for nature and my curiosity led me to choose Biology as my major. I wanted to pursue the branch of science most closely related to the natural world. Biology, and most specifically cell biology, allow me to see more deeply into nature. Ever since my childhood, when I spent much time hiking the nature trails and collecting bugs, I've been inspired by nature. I was drawn to all the sciences, but realized that Biology brought me closer to understanding the world around me. I have prepared for my major by taking all prerequisite courses required for a Biology major. Additionally, I have also taken electives related to Biology to broaden my knowledge base. Such electives include a History of Science course and a Botany course with a research component. Beyond courses themselves, I have contributed several science articles to my current how-write-good-college-essay's newspaper. I have also volunteered my time to do data entry for a major study being conducted by my how-write-good-college-essay's Biology department, to give me hands-on experience in the research process. As I continue to pursue my Biology major at UC, I will continue to excel academically. More importantly, I am committed to becoming an how-write-act-essayive part of the student body, especially within my department. I will seek volunteer opportunities to participate in research. Additionally, as an upperclassman, I will have the skills and experience to be of service to other students who are just beginning their Biology major. It is important to me to teach as I learn, and tutoring within my department is one way I plan to do so. Further, you will find me specializing in cell and molecular biology, my intended emphasis.

A freelance writer must choose how to spend her time working on several different types of projects. Newspaper stories take 3 ho
Paraphin [41]

Answer:

3N + 25M + P ≤ 45

Explanation:

Let the number of Newspaper Stories taken=N

Newspaper stories take 3 hours to write.

Total Hour spent on Newspaper Stories=3N

Let the number of Magazine Articles taken =M

Magazine articles take much longer to write 25 hours per article.

Total Hour spent in Magazine Articles=25M

Let the number of Proofreading jobs taken =P

Proofreading pays for every 1 hour

Total Hour spent in Proofreading jobs=P

Since both newspaper stories and magazine articles must be completed in the week they are started.

The writer doesn't want to work more than 45 hours per week. So his total hour in a week is less than or equal to 45.

The Constraint that limits the amount of time the writer will work in a week is given as:

3N + 25M + P ≤ 45

2      559,251 17,100 22,370.05 5,270.05         564,521

3      564,521 17,100 22,580.86 5,480.86         570,002

journal entries

cash                                  554,184 debit

discount on bond payable 15,816 debit

          bonds payable                              570,000 credit

--to record issuance of the bonds--

interest expense 22,167.36 debit

discount on BP                   5067.36 credit

cash                                   17100      credit

--to record interest payment--

bonds payable 570,000       debit

interest expense 22,580.86 debit

     discount on bonds payable 5,480.86 credit

    cash                                       587,100    credit

--to record retirement of the bonds

Explanation:

Under the effective interest method we determinate the interest expense by multiplying the carrying value of the bond by the market rate.

554,184 x 4% = 22,167.36

Then we compare with the actual cash payment:

570 bonds x 1,000 dollars each x 3% = 17,100 dollars

The difference will be the amortization on the bonds discount.

This, will generate a new carrying value so the process is repeated until maturity.

The journal entries will be as follows:

on issuance:

we receive cash, so we debited.

We assume a liability so tis credited and we also create the discount account to adjust the face value of the bond to what we really get for them

on interest payment:

we credit the cash outlay in favor of the bondholders

we debit the interest expense generate for the effective rate method

and we credit the discount by the difference

retirement

we credit the total cash outlay (principal + interest of the period)

we write-off the bonds payable and the bond discount

we reocgnize the last interest expense under debit
