Read the excerpt from a student’s rhetorical analysis essay. Barone and Ware provide a variety of quantitative evidence that sug

gests that a career ladder for teachers improves teacher retention. For example, they cite exit interviews with teachers leaving the profession. Over 80% of respondents cite that having few opportunities for advancement was a reason to leave the profession. Which sentence is an example of effective commentary on the evidence used in this paragraph? A career ladder is a system where people can advance to higher levels of responsibility and compensation. Data collected from exiting teachers provide support for the implementation of new pathways in teaching careers, like a career ladder, to retain teachers. The authors studied several reasons that people left the teaching profession, including the lack of opportunities for advancement. The author makes a connection to the audience by writing about the importance of retaining talented teachers through implementing career ladders.

Answer:

A career ladder is a system where people can advance to higher levels of responsibility and compensation.

Pay attention to how the poem at once seems to describe a pleasant outing and the experience of being called away from life by d
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

In the poem, the speaker seems to be discussing a pleasant date, as if oblivious to the fact that this is a journey to death. The tone of the poem seems light and perhaps even dismissive of all the scenes passing by, as though these cornerstones of life were not terribly significant. However, the underlying mood of the poem is somewhat sad because the speaker is describing a world she’s leaving behind. This difference between the descriptions of the outing and of dying creates some dramatic irony.  The speaker sees but doesn’t really see the world of the living because she’s already dead.

Explanation:

This is the exact from Edmentum so make sure to change it up a little.
