The individuals in this data set are B) Rachael's Classmates

The first column of the table is what will give this away

==========================================================

This data set contains A) 4 Variables, 1 of which is quantitative

Why is this? Because the four variables are

  • Gender
  • Age
  • Birth month
  • Read horoscope

Age is quantitative because it deals with a quantity or number. We can do things like find the average age and it makes sense to do so. The other variables are qualitative or categorical. Gender is nominal as you can't order the data. Birth month is ordinal though because we can order the months from January to December. The responses for "read horoscope" are nominal data because we cannot order "yes" versus "no".

In 2013, the population of China was estimated to be 1,360,760,100. Round off the number of people
Aleksandr [31]

Answer:

a) 1,360,760,000

b) 1,361,000,000

c) 1,400,000,000

d)  1,360,800,000

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to round off the given population number to certain digits.

The following are the rules to round of a number:

  1. First identify the digit to be rounded.
  2. If this digit is followed by 5,6,7,8,9 then we round up the number that is increase the digit by 1 and all the numbers to right becomes zero.
  3. If this digit is followed by 0,1,2,3,4 then we round down the number that is decrease the digit by 1 and all the numbers to right becomes zero.

a)  to the nearest thousand.

Thousands place: 0

Right Digit: 1

We round down the number

Rounded to the nearest 1,000 or t he thousands Place =  1,360,760,000

b)  to the nearest million

Millions place: 0

Right Digit: 7

We round up the number

Rounded to the nearest million places = 1,361,000,000

c)  to nearest hundred million

Hundred million place: 3

Right Digit: 6

We round up the number

Rounded to the nearest million places = 1,400,000,000

d)  to the nearest hundred thousand.

hundred thousand place: 7

Right Digit: 6

We round up the number

Rounded to the nearest million places = 1,360,800,000

The equation that the question asked for would be:
1.2x + 15 = 2.4x

Now, let's solve the second part of the problem.
1.2x + 15 = 2.4x
1.2x - 2.4x + 15 = 2.4x - 2.4x
-1.2x + 15 = 0
-1.2x + 15 - 15 = 0 - 15
-1.2x = -15
-1.2x/-1.2 = -15/-1.2
x = 12.5
So, he needs to create 12 and a half pages for his time spent using the new program to be the same as his current time.

So, any value of x higher than 12.5 would save him time using the new software.

Which equation represents a direct variation? y = 2x y = x + 4 y = x y =
Alona [7]
<span>The first equation is a direct variation. This type of equation has a form that is "y = kx," in which k is the constant. Changing both sides by a common multiple will still lead to the equation being evaluated as true, since the values will both increase by that multiple.</span>
