  • 5. Many people believe that organic foods are too expensive, but others believe that the health benefits of eating organic foods outweigh the expense.
  • 9. Whether or not you chose to eat organic foods, you should maintain a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

A compound-complex sentence has at least two independent clauses and one or more dependent clauses.

<u>Examples;</u>

  • 7. Advocates of organic foods claim that organic farming is better for the environment; however, skeptics say that organic farming is not sustainable because it requires more land than traditional farming.
  • 10. Buying fruits and vegetables in season, avoiding salty and sugary foods, and practicing moderation in eating can go a long way toward leading a healthy lifestyle.
