Answer:

hello your question is incomplete attached below is the missing table to your question

Illinois Furniture, Inc., produces all types of office furniture. The "Executive Secretary" is a chair that has been designed using ergonomics to provide comfort during long work hours. The chair sells for $130. There are 480 minutes available during the day, and the average daily demand has been 50 chairs. There are eight tasks

answer : a) 9.6 minutes

               b) 5 work stations

               c) choose initial task and task with maximum task time

               d) 21 minutes

Explanation:

A) cycle time for the production of a chair

cycle time = (production time available per day ) / ( unit demand per day )

                 = 480 minutes / 50 chairs

                 = 9.6 minutes ≈ 10 minutes

B) theoretical minimum number of workstations

= Total task / cycle time

 where total task = (4 + 7 + 6 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 6 ) = 49 minutes

             cycle time = 9.6 minutes

hence theoretical minimum number of workstations = 49 / 9.6 = 5.1

 ≈ 5 workstations

C ) Assignment of tasks to workstations

      attached below

you will choose the initial/first task and also the task with maximum tax time

D) For the process the total idle time per cycle

total idle time = summation of all idle times for the 8 tasks = 21 minutes

Task A, C = 0 minutes

Task B = 3 minutes

Task E = 4 MINUTES

Task F = 3

Task G = 2

Task H = 4

Task D = 5

Production workers for Chadwick Manufacturing Company provided 3,200 hours of labor in January and 2,800 hours in February. The
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:

The insurance cost should be allocated to the products made in January and to those made in February is $8,000 and $7,000 respectively.

Explanation:

For computing the allocated insurance cost, first, we have to compute the per labor rate which is shown below:

Per labor rate = (Annual premium) ÷ (Labor hours)

                       = ($120,000) ÷ (48,000 hours)

                       = $2.5

Now the insurance cost would be

For January = Labor rate per hour × number of labor hours\

                    = 3,200 hours × $2.5

                    = $8,000

For February = Labor rate per hour × number of labor hours

                      = 2,800 hours × $2.5

                      = $7,000

ROI Dollar Amount         54 -50 = 4

ROI Percentage              \mathbf{ \frac{4}{50} * 100 = 8%}

Initial investment            $100

Amount at year end       $115

ROI Dollar Amount         115 -100 = 15

ROI Percentage              \mathbf{ \frac{15}{100} * 100 = 15%}

LUVFINANCE, Inc. is estimating its WACC. It is operating at its optimal capital structure. Its outstanding bonds have a 12 perce
svetlana [45]

Solution :

Given :

The cost of the debt is yield to the maturity of the bonds.

The yield on the bond is 10%

The tax rate is 40%

After the tax cost of the debt = 10 ( 1- 0.4 )

                                          = 6 %

Add floatation cost at the rate of 5% = 11%

Cost of the preferred stock = $\frac{\text{dividend}}{\text{price}}$

                                             = $\frac{120}{12}$ = 10%

The cost of equity = risk free rate + β x market risk premium

                              = 3.72 + 0.94 x 6

                              = 9.36%

WACC is weighted average of the individual securities :

Particulars  Value per  No. of       Market value   Weight   Cost of    Product

                   security    securities                                         security

                                                      736,200,000       1         WACC    9.7231730

Therefore, WACC of the firm is 9.72%
