I was in the National Forest with my camera. The day was crisp, and the leaves were turning gold and red. When I spotted the whi

te-tailed buck, I froze. He wasn't more than 15 yards from where I was standing. The wind must have been right, because he kept on browsing the mossy ground. I lifted my camera very slowly. Carefully, holding my breath, I lifted the camera to my eye. Turning the focus ring, I framed the deer's head. Just as I was ready to press the shutter release, the buck raised his head. He was looking my way with wide eyes. Click. I took the picture. An instant later, the deer bounded away into the forest. He took off, but I had the shot. Today, the framed photo of that buck hangs above our fireplace. What is the author implying in the phrase "the wind must have been right"? A. The deer was clearly not afraid of humans. B. The author was worried the wind would disturb his shot.
C. The deer was not able to pick up the scent of the author. D. The author was fortunate to have his camera with him.

I believe the answer is C because the sentence continues with, ..."because he kept on browsing the mossy ground." That shows that the reason why the deer didn't run away is because it didn't pick up the scent of the author, which is why it kept on browsing the ground.

Zanzabum

Connection between the fall of Trujillo’s regime and public opinion of him:

There is a close connection between the rise and fall of Rafael Trujillo’s regime and the Mirabel sisters. Mirabel sisters emerged as the Martyrs and the national leader in the Dominican Republic like the Rafael Trujillo and have sacrificed their lives for their country.

They have first emerged as national heroes and raised political awareness across the country than their sudden demise in the same country. The Mirabel sisters were detained just like the Rafael Trujillo and their leadership came to an end after their assassination.
