If a person suffered a stroke which damaged brain region b, what happens to the patient's body?
timofeeve [1]

Answer:

A stroke is a loss of blood flow to a certain part of the brain. The resulting damage depends on the location and extensiveness of the stroke. A stroke to the left side of the brain will affect cognitive, motor and sensory areas. Language, thinking, behavior and physical movement can be impaired. Stroke is the third most common cause of death and is the main cause of disability among adults.

For most people, the primary language center is located on the left side of the brain. The American Stroke Association explains that a stroke in this area can cause either temporary or permanent impaired language ability. Not only can a person’s speech ability be affected, but the ability to read and write as well. Aphasia, the inability to use or comprehend language, agraphia, difficulty with writing words, and alexia, difficulty with reading, are all possible effects of a left-sided stroke.

Make a recommendation letter to Mayor or your Brgy. Chairman about the dangers brought by drug abuse in the community. Sight pos
vlada-n [284]

Dear mayor.

I write this letter as a way to ask for measures for an evil that is plaguing our youth, drug abuse.

This abuse of drugs has been gradually increasing in our community and in other regions that are impacted by an insufficient economy and a flawed educational system, which has meant that young people find support only in the world of drugs.

The problem is that these substances are highly addictive, reaching the point where young people are unable to continue their lives, as they can only maintain their addiction. This opens the way for criminal and dangerous activities to be initiated, causing young people to lose their entire lives.

Therefore, I humbly ask that public policies be created to save our young people from this situation, in addition to regulatory policies for the use and sale of drugs. I believe that you will agree with the importance and urgency of this matter.

Thank you for your time.

Graciously.

M. Linn.

During a nursing consultation you weigh an overweight Border collie. The dog weighs 35 kg and you tell the owner that he should
wolverine [178]

Answer:

A- 2/7 of the initial weight.

B- 28.58% of the initial weight.

Explanation:

A- To determine the weight fraction that the dog must lose to be healthy, we have to take into account the common divisor between 35 and 25. Both are divisible by 5, so we must calculate based on that number to obtain a comparable fraction between both weights.

So, the dog must go from weighing 35/35 to weighing 25/35, that is, from weighing 7/7 to weighing 5/7. Therefore, the dog should lose 2/7 of its weight to reach the ideal weight.

B- To determine the percentage of weight that the dog must lose to reach its ideal weight, it is determined through a cross multiplication:

35 kg = 100%

25 kg = X

(25 x 100) / 35 = X

2500/35 = X

71.42 = X

So, the 25 kg represents 71.42% of the initial 35 kg. Therefore, the 10 kg lost represent 28.58% of the initial weight (100 - 71.42).
