Some cells release active signaling proteins when membrane-bound precursor proteins are cleaved by proteolytic enzymes. The sign

aling proteins can then bind to receptors on the surface of a target cell, thereby activating an intracellular signaling pathway and eliciting a response from the target cell. This mechanism of activating receptor-binding signaling proteins has been observed in a variety of organisms from bacteria to humans. Many of the enzymes responsible for proteolysis of membrane-bound precursor proteins have been isolated and characterized.

Answer:

Following questions would be most appropriate to investigate whether the proteolytic enzymes are evolutionarily conserved among species:

  1. Are the genes encoding the proteolytic enzymes expressed in the same cell types in all species?
  2. Once the precursor proteins of different species are cleaved, do the active signaling proteins bind to  the same receptors on different target cells?
  3. If a proteolytic enzyme from one species is incubated with a precursor protein from another species, does correct cleavage occur?
  4. Are the proteolytic enzymes synthesized in the rough endoplasmic reticulum of all species?

100 POINTS!!! ANSWER ASAP [5 SENTENCE ANSWER] Explain the relationship among distance, mass and gravitational force between any
Karolina [17]
Since the gravitational force is directly proportional to the mass of both interacting objects, more massive objects will attract each other with a greater gravitational force. So as the mass of either object increases, the force of gravitational attraction between them also increases. If the mass of one of the objects is doubled, then the force of gravity between them is doubled. If the mass of one of the objects is tripled, then the force of gravity between them is tripled. If the mass of both of the objects is doubled, then the force of gravity between them is quadrupled; and so on.

Hope this helps.

Based on the information above, the correct answer to the question would be a. Percy will likely make an external attribution. Since he does not remember anything that would cause him to think that he can be a reason why one of his windows is broken, then he most probably will attribute it towards an external event.

Blababa [14]

Answer:

According to the genetic code, the amino acids are the following:

- Glycine: encoded by GGC, GGA and GGG codons

-Arginine: encoded by AGA and AGG codons

-Lysine: encoded by AAA and AAG codons

-Glutamic acid: encoded by GAA and GAG  codons

Explanation:

The probabilities to observe an amino-acid formed by Glutamic acid in the coding sequence is 2/9 for each codon
