Antonio Allegri Correggio was born in Correggio, Italy in 1489 and worked most of his life in the Italian city of Parma.
Correggio's work was almost a 17th century Baroque initiation. The artist was famous for his paintings on domes and church ceilings, with which the painter led the viewer to look up as if to see the dramatic glory of the heavens.
