Easiest way is to subsitute 1 for x and evaluate then -2 for x and evaluate
if they evaluate to 0 then they are roots

f(x)
if we did 1 for first one we get f(1)=-12 so 1 is not a zero

g(x)
if we did 1 for g(x) we get g(1)=-4, so 1 is not  a zero

p(x)
if we did 1 for p(x) we get p(1)=6 so 1 is not a zero

t(x)
if we did 1 for t(x) we get t(1)=0, so 1 is a zero
try -2
if we did -2 for t(x) we get t(-2)=0, so it is also a zero

t(x) is answer

A quality control engineer at a potato chip company tests the bag filling machine by weighing bags of potato chips. Not every ba
Ahat [919]

Answer:

z=\frac{0.21 -0.15}{\sqrt{\frac{0.15(1-0.15)}{100}}}=1.68

Step-by-step explanation:

Information provided

n=100 represent the random sample taken

X=21 represent the number of bags overfilled

\hat p=\frac{21}{100}=0.21 estimated proportion of overfilled bags

p_o=0.15 is the value that we want to test

z would represent the statistic

Hypothesis

We need to conduct a hypothesis in order to test if the true proportion of overfilled bags is higher than 0.15.:

Null hypothesis:p =0.7

Alternative hypothesis:p > 0.15

The statistic for this case is:

z=\frac{\hat p -p_o}{\sqrt{\frac{p_o (1-p_o)}{n}}} (1)

And replacing the info given we got:

z=\frac{0.21 -0.15}{\sqrt{\frac{0.15(1-0.15)}{100}}}=1.68

Suppose you take the small prism and stack it on top of the larger prism. What will be the volume of the composite figure?
Degger [83]
Find the volume of the first figure, then find the volume of the second figure, then add them together.
V=lwh
V(1)=(15)(12)(6)
= 1,080in^3
V(2)=(12)(6)(6)
= 432in^3
--------------------------------------------
1,080+432= 1,512 in^3
--------------------------------------------
Your answer should be 1,512
