If you could meet a character from a book or a historical figure, who would it be and what would you ask them? questbridge
melomori [17]

If I could meet a historical figure, I would choose King George VI.

I would ask him  how he felt when his brother abdicated the throne to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson. I would also ask him how he experienced the fact that he had to take over the English throne, when he had never been prepared to do so. Finally, I would like to know if he was aware of and expected the popularity and love he received from the British people.

Answer: you have to make sure that the reader cares enough about these characters.

In order for a story to be successful and popular, the reader has to care about the characters that are present in the narrative. When a reader cares about these characters, he becomes invested in the story, and is more likely to read it all the way to the end. However, if he is not interested in the characters, he is more likely to think of the story as trivial and to have little motivation to finish the book.
