In these lines, Annemarie describes how it was for people to wait for their loved ones. She claims that the ones who had gone away were definitely less safe, and they were in riskier circumstances than those who had to stay. However, in a way, having to stay was worse. This was because those who stayed had to live in fear. They were constantly worried about their friends and family who had gone away, making their situation even more unbearable.

Okay so by saying "It was harder for the ones who were waiting, Annemarie knew." She is trying to say the ones waiting were the peoples family & that its not as dangerous to go out there but its more fearful the people waiting may not get to see their loved one again.

I just got off the wooden roll-a-coaster again. what are the grammar errors
alexandr402 [8]
The only error I can see in this sentence is roll-a-coaster. I believe it should be a roller coaster instead, which is a ride in amusement parks. Other than that, it is more grammatically correct to say "I've just gotten off the wooden" rather than "I just got off the wooden" however, it's up to you.
