Abrahan Lincoln considered that the black people had rights like white men had, and black people should get paid for the work they did. Although, according to Lincoln, white men were better than black people in other things.  Originally, Lincoln believed that slavery should not be stopped in the states where it already existed.

John B. Robinson considered that African Americans were made by God for the purpose of servitude. He thought they always were going to be slaves and if they would be free someday, black people would become barbaric individuals.

Which best describes President Carter’s attempts to free the hostages in Iran?
STALIN [3.7K]

President Carter's attempts to free the hostages were done in good faith and effort, but were hampered by failures in communication, delivery and execution. The plan involved servicemen who were not as well-trained as they could have been and certain weather effects like the "haboob" which was a big dust cloud, doomed the mission. Carter does deserve credit for taking responsibility for the failure however.

Most likely irony. Paradise is usually instilled in peoples' minds as somewhere refreshing and heavenly, and the next couple of words say "ahead of them is an empty oil-covered beach" which clearly objects with the paradise statement.
