<span>Nixon wanted the document leaks to be stopped at any cost and this is when the Watergate break-in occurred. The media pinpointed it on Nixon, which he denied but soon found out to be guilty. The Watergate scandal brought distrust and doubt in the government that has grown exponentially. This has now created investigative journalism in the news media.</span>
