"The Fall of the House of Usher" is short story of Edgar Allan Poe where the narrator is arriving to the house of his friend Roderick Usher, we never get to have the name of the narrator, however, as the plot unfolds we are informed that the relationship between the narrator and Roderick was close, in this excerpt we can see an inference done by the narrator  according to his knowledge of the character, the answer is C. It provides an inference drawn by the narrator.
