A) break the spirits of Confederate citizens. He marched his troops from Atlanta, Georgia to Savannah, Georgia to try and convince the Georgians to stop supporting the Confederates in hope that if the Confederates lost support they would surrender.

Answer:

A) break the spirits of Confederate citizens.

Explanation:

Sherman was made famous because of his "March to the Sea". He and his troopers went on "total war" marching through the state of Georgia. This strategy was conjectured on the thought that solders from the Union should destroy anything that was useful to the Confederacy. Union soldiers destroyed railroad lines, took resources that were useful to the Confederacy, burnt plantations and so on. This was meant to bring down the Confederacy and it worked surprisingly well.

Eventually, the Confederacy, with no resources, surrendered to the Union.

Increasing feelings of nationalism among many groups led to which<br> consequence after World War I?
sammy [17]

Answer:

Increasing feelings of nationalism among many groups led to the rise of fascism.

Explanation:

One very negative consequence of increased feelings of nationalism after WWI was the rise of fascism or so-called national socialism in countries like Germany and Italy. These governments appealed to nationalism and blamed such groups as the Jewish people for their economic problems in the late 20's and early 30's and also believed they had the right to invade and control other countries.

Fascism was a political, economic and social system that gained momentum after the First World War, especially in countries in economic crisis (Italy and Germany).
