What design flaw in the ballot shown in Section I could lead to voter confusion? Suggest a possible improvement.

The main problem with this ballot is that the alignment of the yes/no arrows is confusing in some portions. The ballot, therefore, could be unclear for some electors. Ballots should be designed in a way that minimizes confusion. They should make it easier for the elector to express his opinion. If this does not happen, then the ballot most likely needs to be revised.

William A Van Nortwick Jr Yes and No choices are cut off not enabling the voters to vote for or against them positively. A ballot should unequivocally have all the candidates names and the possible vote indication clearly shown so all the voters can vote on all the candidates available.

Thoreau's <em>overall</em> viewpoint was that it was in solitude with nature that a man could really learn to thrive. He argued that a life of luxury was an unnecessary one and that a man could easily make a living without even having to sweat if he would just strip his life of unneeded, materialistic items.
