The Tundra is a very freezing biome, it's temperatures range from -10° to 41° F, and doesn't go above 50° F. Animals like polar bears, reindeer and arctic foxes are only some examples of the 48 species living in the Tundra biome. The vegetation here is limited since tree's can't gow because of the frozen ground, short grass, flowers, mosses and lichens are the main vegetation in the Tundra biome.

Tundras are very cold and harsh. They have no trees and little vegetation, although there may be wildflowers in the summer, due to indirect sunlight. There is barely sufficient rainfall and the climate is often windy. Animals include caribou, birds, polar bears, wolves and arctic foxes (to name a few).

enot [183]
Deforestation is the largest challenge which is currently being faced by the Amazon rainforest. Soy farming and cattle ranching is further increasing the problem of deforestation. The continually disappearing wild lands are a matter of concern. Hydro-electric dams being built are also causing problems.
These problems can be tackled by adopting alternate techniques and correctify the impact of cattle ranching and soy farming.

In a paragraph composed of complete sentences, discuss the differences between monotheism, polytheism, and animism, and provide
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

Religions around the world are all unique. They may share some similarities in the way they are practiced; however, their differences often outnumber their similarities. For example, there are three different types of religions: monotheism, polytheism, and animism. Monotheism is the belief and worship of one god; Christianity is a monotheistic religion. Polytheism is the belief and worship of many gods; the ancient Greeks practiced a polytheistic religion. Animism is unique because it is the belief that natural objects such as trees, animals, and bodies of water have spirits. Animism is practiced by many Native American tribes.

The geocentric model, in all of its complexity, survived scientific scrutiny for almost 1400 years. However, in modern astronomy
Wittaler [7]

Answer:

The geocentric model appealed to mans' vanity, being in the center of everything. Simply, it satisfied their self-thought thus leaving no room for questioning its validity.

Explanation:

The geocentric and heliocentric models were the two main models proposed on how our solar system is laid out. Geocentric, coming from the word 'geo' meaning earth and 'centric' being center said that the Earth was the center of our solar system and the rest of the planets rotated and revolved around it. This model appealed to mans' vanity, this theory was promoted by Egyptian mathematician, Ptolemy. This theory was incorporated into religious dogma thus creating false credit. Ptolemy's calculations were correct, but his assumptions were not: the earth was motionless, circular orbits for planets, all celestial bodies orbit the earth etc. This was until Keppler and Galielo proved him wrong with his assumptions giving rise to the valid, Heliocentric model where the sun is the center of our solar system, planets have elliptical orbits and other planets had bodies orbiting them.

Oxana [17]
The number of degrees of longitude that separate New York City and Reno, Nevada is 120 – 75 = 45 degrees of longitude. The time difference can be calculated by dividing it by 15 degrees because for every 15 degrees there is 1 hr difference. 45 / 15 = 3 hr difference
