Michele experiences fatigue because the run uses an outburst of energy to finish the race immediately. In this case, upon running there is an accumulation of lactic acid in the muscles which causes the fatigue on the runner. It is not directly realted to cardiac muscles. The answer is skeletal muscle tissues.
