How does the author use tone to set the time and place of his story? How would the tone be different if writing about similar ev

Tone really count if u are trying to figure out what feelings is the protagonist feeling.

"What do you think you are doing?"
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? !"
"What are you doing? "
