Salim is writing a paragraph comparing and contrasting the Maori and Haida cultures. Which sentence best illustrates his point a

bout how each group views humans?
In the Maori creation myth people are able to conquer every element of nature, but in the Haida creation myth the Raven feels he must be the humans’ caretaker.
In the Haida creation myth humans are strong enough to trick the Sky Chief, but in the Maori myth humans are outwitted by the sky and earth gods.
Both the Maori and Haida creation myths give examples of the gods interacting with the humans, and these examples show how each culture views humans’ place in the world.
There are several differences in the way that the Maori and Haida creation myths view humans, which I will go on to show through this paragraph.

The correct answer is the following: option A. The sentence that best illustrates how each group views humans is: In the Maori creation myth people are able to conquer every element of nature, but in the Haida creation myth the Raven feels he must be the humans' caretaker. While the Maori culture has a culture point of view based on their own power and how they are capable of conquering every aspect of nature like the forest, the oceans rivers and sea, and the animals, the Haida culture relies on the figure of the Raven, which has a sense of responsibility towards humans, as their caretaker and protector.

Elden [556K]

Stowe uses this dialogue between George and Haley to illustrate that slavery is unethical in every circumstance by showing that there are two parts involved who are equally as guilty for the problem.

George criticizes Haley for selling men and women but at the same time buys slaves himself. George knows that slavery is wrong and does not approve of it. However, he still participates and helps the system to keep standing by buying people to work for him.

With this, the author seeks to convey the idea that it is not only selling slaves that is unethical, but also buying them.

Thomas paine's common sense was important because it instigated the American colonist to fight for the independence.
The pamphlet of common sense was written in 1776, in the time which was shaping the American revolution war. The first battle of independence happened in 1775, yet there was no firm determination among some colonist who were hoping reconciliation of any kind with Britain, because there was no serious hatred towards the monarchy system.
But, in 1776, the pamphlet published where it stated ideas on why monarchy is bad model of governing system and American colonies must be free. Thus, the common sense published in 1776 build up independence sentiments, convincing the undecided colonies for independence. After six months of the common sense publication, independence was declared in July, 1776.

What is the most likely reason author Maya Angelou included this passage?
Anna71 [15]

Read the passage from “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.”

I have tried often to search behind the sophistication of years for the enchantment I so easily found in those gifts. The essence escapes but its aura remains. To be allowed, no, invited, into the private lives of strangers, and to share their joys and fears, was a chance to exchange the Southern bitter wormwood for a cup of mead with Beowulf or a hot cup of tea and milk with Oliver Twist. When I said aloud, "It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done . . .” tears of love filled my eyes at my selflessness.
