Ralph and Piggy go to the pig roast because they didn't want Jack and his tribe to do anything bad. It's prophetic because it foreshadows that something bad is going to happen.

Im writing about video games please help!!
Taya2010 [7]

Here's the doc! You can copy and paste it :)

“In October 1958, Physicist William Higinbotham created what is thought to be the first video game.” says the Aps Physics website. Apparently, William created video games to prove that science isn’t all about war and destruction. The benefits and cons of video games are: helping with mental health problems, they increase dexterity, gray matter, and social skills; but they can be very violent or inappropriate.

In the current date, video games are described to be addictive or just bad for your mental health in general; but video games have been proven to help with them! For example, children and adults with ADHD have been treated with video games to distract them from hyperfixation. “Psychologists have used games to treat children and adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD”. Hyper Fixations are a disorder that makes a person become obsessed with something and normal bodily functions will be ignored (like eating, drinking water, or even sleep!). Once they are handed a video game, they start to get distracted from their hyperfixations because of the puzzle solving or strategy!

Video games are great for your brain! They have been proven to increase manual dexterity, gray matter (in your brain), and help with social skills even! “ In a study involving a group of surgeons, researchers found that those who played video games were faster at performing advanced procedures and made 37 percent fewer mistakes than those who didn’t.”. Gray matter is associated with muscle control, memories, perception, and spatial navigation. It has been found that playing video games regularly may increase gray matter in the brain and boost brain connectivity. The stereotype that people play video games is false. “Past research involving children found that those who played more video games were more likely to have good social skills, perform better academically, and to have built better relationships with other students because of the social and collaborative component to some types of games”. This happens because you can usually talk to a character, if you say something mean or threatening, there will be consequences. Unfortunately, video’s do have downsides as well.

Sadly, most video games in the current day usually have gore or inappropriate concepts in general. It has been proven that violent video games increase aggressive behavior. For example, a very popular video game every since 2008 and is still booming today, Team Fortress 2. A game where two teams of mercenaries try to slaughter each other to settle a conflict between two brothers. Most video games include violence or concepts such as those. Some examples are: GTA, Call of Duty, Assassin's creed, Mortal Kombat and more. Violent video games increase, and less and less children get to play them.

In conclusion, video games can be both good or bad for you. Their purpose is to entertain you but they don’t do just that. They can Increase aggressive behavior, but they can also increase social skills, gray matter, and dexterity. Old or young, video games should be for everyone.

I had a lot of fun writing this!!

So, here's a cookie recipe ·ω·

This recipe uses just a few basic ingredients

– flour, sugar, baking soda, salt.

Also, it is so fast and so easy – no mixer needed, no chilling required – that the cookies can be mixed up and baked in less than twenty minutes.

For this recipe, you’re going to start by melting the butter.

The butter shouldn’t be sizzling hot. If you’re not sure how hot is too hot, you’ll want it about 90% melted, and then you’ll whisk it until it finishes melting.

Once the butter has melted, whisk in the sugars until well-combined.

Mix in the vanilla extract and egg.

Add the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Stir in just until combined.

You don’t want to overmix the dough.

Stir in the chocolate chips, and then scoop the dough.

Place about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake until the cookies are set on the edges but slightly underdone in the middle, about 7-10 minutes.

Slightly under-baking the cookies helps to keep them soft.

Since oven temperatures can vary, you may find that you need to adjust the baking times.
