The correct answer is option (B) planting grass on the slopes.

The soil depletion can be prevented by adding grasses and smaller plants on  the slopes. It keeps the soil intact and prevent the soil from getting erode or blown away.

The fertilizers may decrease the quality of the soil due to the presence of the chemicals,, also, the fertilizers are added to enhance the growth of the crop. The dune fences are used to prevent the sand flow in the deserts, it helps in decreasing the shifting of the sand mass due to wind.

Ksju [112]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

When the resting potential of the membrane is changed, the membrane becomes either more negative inside or less negative. This small deviation from the resting potential is called graded potential. A graded potential occurs when a stimulus triggers opening or closing of the mechanically gated  or ligand-gated channels present in the plasma membrane.

For example, the presynaptic neuron releases neurotransmitters in response to a nerve impulse. The neurotransmitter binds to receptors present in the plasma membrane of the postsynaptic neuron and triggers the opening of the ion channels to allow the inflow of particular ions to flow. The flow of ions changes the voltage across the membrane. This change in membrane voltage is a postsynaptic potential and is a type of graded potential.

Neporo4naja [7]

Answer: Plants use Carbon Dioxide to produce sugars and energy, so you could expect the high-energy sugars to be depleted as the sugars are used to produce energy, and the sugars cannot be replaced as fast as they are being used.

Determination of Caloric Content of Three Foods1. Compare the calorimeter that you built to a bomb calorimeter. How are they sim
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

The answers to both parts (1 and 2) are given below.

Explanation:

1. The calorimeter is similar to the bomb calorimeter in a way that both measure the changes in heat that occur as result of the chemical reaction taking place inside them. They are different in the sense that a bomb calorimeter provides an isolated system with constant volume and pressure, whereas a regular calorimeter allows pressure to equalize with the environment.

2. Carbohydrates are the molecules that break down and provides energy for cellular functions. Whereas, proteins are not meant for the production of energy but for the production of amino acids to function as structural units for protein synthesis. Simply, the breakdown of protein is for the synthesis of more proteins by providing several units of amino acids rather than the production of energy.
