Tanα=height/distance

tanα=h/d

d=h/tanα  so

d1=h/tanα  and d2=h/tanß

Then the distance between them is:

d=h/tanß-h/tanα, we know that h=1300, α=71.9°, and ß=27.1° so

d=3100/tan27.1-3100/tan71.9 meters

d≈5045 m (to nearest meter)

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

tanα=height/distance

tanα=h/d

d=h/tanα  so

d1=h/tanα  and d2=h/tanß

Then the distance between them is:

d=h/tanß-h/tanα, we know that h=1300, α=(90°-71.9°=18,1°), and ß=90°-27.1°=62.9°) so

d=(3100*tan62.9)-(3100*tan18.1) meters

d≈2116 (to nearest meter)

If a ship has sufficient food to supply 600 passenger for 3 weeks how long would the food last for 800 passengers?
Julli [10]
In the given problem the trick lies in the fact that the time upto which the food supply would last for 600 passengers is given in weeks and that is 3 weeks. First thing to do is convert the 3 weeks to number of days. Then it would be easy to find the number of days the same food supply would last if the number of passengers increases to 800.
Then
3 week = 21 days
Now
For 600 passengers in the ship the food supply will last for = 21 days
then
For 800 passengers in the ship the food supply will last for = (21/800) * 600
                                                                                               = (21/8) * 6
                                                                                               = 15.75 days
So the food supply  for 800 passengers would last for 15.75 days

Matthew manages the packaging department of his company. Yesterday, the department operated for only 4 hours due to a company pi
yKpoI14uk [10]

Alright, lets get started.

If Matthew wants to complete packages at an average rate of at least 39 packages per hour.

And they worked 4 hrs only due to picnic, yesterday, it means they have to make 39*4 = 156 packages.

But they made only 112 packages means they are short of 156 - 112 = 44 packages.

Suppose they are working today t hrs, and his department will complete 43 packages per hour today.

It means they are going to make 43 t packages today.

This 43 t packages includes those 44 too , which they are short of yesterday due to picnic.

So, average will be

\frac{43 t - 44}{t} = 39 (39 average given in question)

Cross multiplying

39 t = 43 t - 44

Adding 44 in both sides

39 t + 44 = 43 t - 44 + 44

43 t = 39 t + 44

Subtracting 39 t in both sides

43 t - 39 t = 39 t + 44 - 39 t

4t = 44

Dividing 4 in both sides

t = 11 hrs

Hence they have to woth 11 hrs today : Answer

Hope it will help :)

A number is written with the following factorization 2x2x2x4x5. Is this factorization is prime factorization? Explain why or why
Ulleksa [173]
The number 2*2*2*4*5 is not in its prime factorization because not all the factors are prime numbers. A prime number is a number that has no other factors except for 1 and itself.
4 is not a prime number, since it can be divided by 2. The number can be broken down into its prime factors by dividing by 2, and it becomes 2*2.

Therefore, the factorization of the number 2*2*2*4*5 can be broken down to 2*2*2*2*2*5.
