I'm answering this with what I was given.

This is true, because you always want to see the traffic and you want them to see you.  You are technically supposed to walk, ride a bike, etc facing on-coming traffic.

Answer:

The answer to this question is: that this is correct. When placing (or picking up) traffic control equipment in the street, you should be facing oncoming traffic- even if it means walking backwards.

Explanation:

The reason lies in the guidelines and regulations for safety, especially when dealing with pedestrians, hitchhikers, and traffic. This is because when a car is moving along a road, it becomes easier for the driver to predict what a pedestrian, or person on the street, will do, when the two are facing each other, than when they are going in the same direction. So for example, in the case of a hitchhiker, and especially if there is a bend, the oncoming car can see the pedestrian from a longer distance and can measure the reactions the pedestrian will have, as the car moves along and looks for a way to avoid him. It also becomes true that the pedestrian, by being able to see what is coming, can take measures to prevent himself from becoming an obstacle for the oncoming car, and thus can prevent himself from getting in the car´s way. When both pedestrian, and driver, head the same way, the pedestrian may either get astounded, or startled by anything, and may rush towards the oncoming car, instead of being able to avoid it because the pedestrian can see it.

Millie feels sick every time she travels by air. She associates flying with physical illness and, as a result, hates air travel.
Roman55 [17]

Answer: The correct answer is B) Classical Conditioning

Explanation: Classical Conditioning is learning through association.

If someone when flying in an airplane has experienced certain negative stimuli repeatedly then he/she would associate flying with negative responses.

For instance: Flying in an airplane (Neutral stimulus)

Is paired with:  Unconditioned Stimulus (Eating spoiled food) which in turn elicits an unconditioned response (Puking, feeling ill).

Then, the neutral stimulus transforms into a Conditionated stimulus which elicits a conditionated response.

That's called Classical Conditioning.

Write a brief political monologue about democracy from an Athenian slave’s point of view.
tresset_1 [31]
A slave's monologue could be:
The democracy is highly undemocratic. Me and my family are treated as property and have no rights. They sell us, separate us, or harshly punish us all the time and we are not considered to be citizens. If something bad happens, a regular citizen would get a fine while we get physically punished through means of flogging. If we see a crime our testimonies are not accepted except when we are tortured for information.
