Bradford’s diction shows us his reasoning and sentiment about the incidents and the persons expressed in the excerpt. Take for example: he speaks of the Native Americans as being vicious, cruel “savage barbarians”. In his own perceptipn, the pilgrims are the virtuous individuals who are a earmarked and attacked by vicious forces. Regardless of how, everyone comes to be aware of how that the is actually the opposite and that the truth is far from it. It revealed that it was the Native Americans who truly happened to be the defenders and the pilgrims who happened to be the aggressors.
