Answer:

The First step should be taking the person in a shady and cool area and sprinkle cool water on his body and face.

Explanation:

In the case of heatstroke, quick first aid should be given to the athlete by the trainer so that the athlete comes out of danger quickly. The primary step a trainer should take is that he should take the athlete quickly to a shady and cool area and remove all unnecessary clothes so that air can cool the athlete's body. Then the trainer should sprinkle some cool water on the athlete to cool down his body temperature.

Further Explanation:

Heat strokes are common injury among athletes and occur when an athlete is not able to control his body temperature and it goes above 40 degree Celsius which can cause unconsciousness, vomiting, diarrhoea, shortage of breath and other severe problems.

Therefore quick first aid should be given to the athlete by his trainer to reduce the complications of heatstroke. So some initial steps that should be taken by trainer are:

1. Quickly take the person out of the reach of the sun.

2. Remove all the unnecessary clothing of athlete.

3. Put the person under fan or A.C.

4. Give him some cool water to drink and also sprinkle water on his body.

5. Apply ice packs on athlete's neck and armpit.

These are the few steps that should be taken by trainers and coaches immediately when any athlete gets heat stroke to avoid any serious damage to the athlete.

The most immediate thing you can do is move the player you suspect is in heat stroke (usually they are flushed, and dry, because the heat has compromised heat regulation. They are also more than likely to be down), to a cool, well ventilated, Air conditioned area. You need to bring down their body temperature as quickly as possible. At least if this unavailable move him into a car, blast the A/C, and have a towel soaked with water placed on him.

You're running down the soccer field when you develop a side stitch what should you do
cluponka [151]
I think you should stop and take a rest or a break. If the side stitch is really painful, then don't start running until it has stopped. Or you can walk it off so it might not get any more painful when you're resting.
