The true statements about the windmill scene in the excerpt of Dom Quixote related to the image are: B: It includes opposing viewpoints. E: It is a metaphor for something else. F: It reveals a multidimensional character. In regards to B: Dom Quixote makes himself a fool, and his friend Sancho thinks he is really mad. However, when he explains his points of view, that to him, the windmills are giants, he expresses that everything depends on the way a person looks at things, and that things can changes all the time. In regards to E: The metaphor is related to the opposing viewpoints. The battle against the windmills looks as if its pointless and a waste of time. However, Dom's point is that even though the battle is lost, anyone has the right to fight for their beliefs. Lastly, in regards to F: While Dom Quixote seems to be a crazy, he does have some insights that reveal his social criticism. Between his madness, vanity  and  sometimes humility,he does have his own vision of an ideal life.

How is the word choice regarding the parents’ surname significant in sleeping
Svetach [21]

Answer:

Explanation:

<u>Winter symbolizes cold, still, fruitless time of no change, when things aren't born, renewed, or changed.</u>

By naming the two characters, Mr. and Mrs. Winter by this season, the writer symbolizes the coldness and childlessness in their life. It seems that they lost the child, but they approached the grief from the calculated, rational point -<u> not acknowledging the loss and emotions, and continuing to act rationally on the outside as if nothing is happening.</u>

<u>This can be connected to the coldness and stillness of the winter, the snow that covers all the flora and vegetation, and seems to last forever in the icy embrace. </u>

What rhetorical effect does the personification of the word Prudence have in the following excerpt from the Declaration of Indep
meriva

Answer:The rhetorical effect that the impersonation of the word "Prudence" provoked was the Ethos.

Explanation:

Personification is a figure of speech that provides human characteristics to inanimate objects or beings. In the excerpt from the Declaration of Independence, the personification allowed that the "prudencia" that is an inanimate being could dictate something.

Prudence is the ability of some people to analyze existing variables and evaluate their possible consequences before making a decision. When the author used the personification in prudence, he imposed that prudence be seen as an authority, which must be heard and its precepts followed.

In this way the author appealed to the rhetorical Ethos effect. An appeal to ethos depends on the credibility, competence and reputation of the person making the argument, in this case, the person is the "prudence". A person considered as an authority on the subject she is talking about would make such an argument. The argument is primarily based on relying on the opinion or analysis of an authority or expert.
