<em>Harriet Tubman and Harriet Beecher Stowe</em> are considered Heroines of the Civil War. Regarding<em> similarities</em> between both characters we can mention the following:

+ They were both abolitionists (fought for abolition of slavery)

+ They were both African Americans.

+ Both worked worked for the Union Army.

+ Both fought for human rights

+ Both were one of eleven children.

As <em>differences</em> between them we can state:

+ Harriet Tubman was born a slave and Harriet Beecher was born in freedom

+ Harriet Beecher was a teacher and writer who wrote in 1852 a famous novel called "Uncle Tom¨s Cabin", a significant story about slavery in plantations.

+ Tubman,instead,risked her life to free her people from captivity and lead them to freedom.She was not a writer.
